origins of the class
This course began as a
class in the Quenya language, which I was teaching in Second Life, at
Alqualonde the Swanhaven, in 2011. My thanks to all my
students, who not only stuck through a very difficult course, but
asked lots of questions and insisted I explain everything clearly.
This edition of the course incorporates the suggestions from my
students. I hope it spares the next generation of
students some of the frustrations of the first brave class.
Some
students want the simplest, easiest, most basic presentation.
Some want to immediately
delve deeper. In order to make the class useful for
the widest range of students, I have split off some non-essential
information into pale blue boxes like this. Read as
much or as little as you like of the material in blue boxes.
This is
the tentative course schedule. I will be adding
links to each section, as I get the lessons posted.
