Now is a good time to introduce the cast for our examples.

Their names mean:

Aldandil:   Tree-Friend

Halla:   Tall

Calanar:   Sunshine

Narwë:   Lily (an antique word); "Narwë" could also be translated "Fire Person." Maybe her parents were making a pun.

Lossë:   White Flower; also Snow

They have dark hair because they are Tolkien Elves, rather than Peter Jackson Elves.   (Don't get me started!) And yes, they are characters in a video game, which I haven't finished.
